Leading family lawyer Vanda James has been appointed partner at Cripps a year after joining the firm.

Recognised as an expert in her field by Chambers and Legal 500, Vanda is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.

She has also recently been appointed President of the Kent Law Society, which represents all solicitors working in the county.

“I am delighted to have been made a partner,” said Vanda, who is married with a grown-up daughter. “Cripps is a dynamic and progressive firm and I am very much looking forward to taking on a greater role within the family law team and the business as a whole, helping drive our continued success.”

Vanda has been a family lawyer for more than 25 years, and, said managing partner Gavin Tyler: “She is highly regarded and very experienced and the fact she has just been appointed President of the Kent Law Society is proof of this.

“Vanda specialises in assisting wealthy individuals with complex family matters and, as a trained collaborative family lawyer, brings an added dimension to the team.”

Cripps has just announced its best ever year following the publication of its financial results ending 30 April 2016, with 9% growth in fee income to £28.1m and net profit reaching £7.3m.
