Expertise in private client legal services has won Cripps a top international award.

The top 100 law firm, which has offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kings Hill, Discovery Park and London, was named Legal Team of the Year (Midsize) in the 2014/15 STEP Private Client Awards (PCAs).

This year saw the highest level of entries ever for the awards, with 240 submissions from 21 countries worldwide.

Congratulating Cripps on its success, chair of the presiding judges Paul Stibbard said: “Cripps’ integration of a private client group within their corporate and property practice and their emphasis on client feedback to ensure ongoing improvement in their services made them stand-out contenders to the judges.”

Seven hundred private-client professionals attended the awards ceremony, which was hosted at the Hilton on Park Lane Hotel in London on 17 September.

Myles McIntosh, head of private client, who received the award on behalf of Cripps, said: “I am delighted that we have won this award and that the judges recognised our attention to client service as well as other aspects of our business put us head and shoulders above the competition.

“The PCAs set the industry standard for excellence in private client practice. Winning this independently-judged award is a clear mark of quality for Cripps and gives our highly-skilled team international recognition and credibility. Ultimately our measure of success is the value we bring to our clients.”

This is the latest accolade for the Cripps private client team – nine of its lawyers were named best in the country in the global Citywealth Leaders List 2014; it was the only firm in the South East to be nominated for Regional Law Firm of the Year in the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards and it was also named one of the UK’s top 25 legal firms by Private Client Practitioner magazine.
